I am an organizer based in southern New Hampshire.
My name is Melany White and my passion is helping people get organized.
Why "Sweet Pea"?When I was a baby, my great Aunt made me an outfit that looked just like the one the character Sweet Pea from the Popeye cartoon wore. Ever since then, my family has called me “Sweet Pea”.

I am originally from Hershey, PA and always seem to be helping friends and family to get organized. From my time as an administrator in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory to preparing lessons and directing performances in schools, I have learned the importance of being able to complete a task efficiently and access materials quickly. This has reinforced my abilities to organize my environment no matter the circumstances.
I earned a BA in Theatre from the University of NH and studied Shakespearean acting at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. For six years I worked as an administrator with a veterinary diagnostic laboratory where I used my organizing skills to help streamline the supplies and literature distribution processes. I also earned a Master of Education and teaching certificate from Millersville University. After several years as an elementary school substitute teacher, I worked as the Performing Arts teacher where I organized the school theatre’s wardrobe collection and props as well as directed several youth theatre productions. Amid all this, I also helped to organize and downsize my Grandmother’s home as well as move my parents into a new home and organize their important documents. Helping others to take a seemingly unsurmountable task and break it into manageable parts in order to achieve the goal of an orderly and “user-friendly” home or office always gives me pleasure. Organizing does not have to be a chore – in fact, it can be quite refreshing to look at things in your home with a “new set of eyes”. When working on downsizing a family home, having someone there to help with the process is a way to acknowledge fond memories and find innovative ways to store those keepsakes in a way that they can reliably be retrieved and passed down to future generations. No matter what you may need help with: organizing your home so that you can find items more easily, streamlining your filing system, downsizing a home so that an elderly family member can move into assisted living, organizing a home after a loved one has passed away, or getting help in preparing for a move to a new home, Sweet Pea’s Creative Organizing is there to help! |
